Willi Liebherr, graduate of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and President of the Administrative Committee of Liebherr-International AG, Bulle (Switzerland), the holding company of the Liebherr Group, was recently awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Freiburg (Switzer-land).
In his laudatory speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences recognised Willi Liebherr’s special achievements in putting scientific theory into business-management practice. Thanks to his outstanding entrepre-neurial skills, Willi Liebherr has helped the Liebherr Group to greater innovative force, sustained growth and success. He has always acted in respect of ethical principles and assumed a high degree of personal and social responsibility. Last but not least, acknowledged the Dean, this award should honour the commitment displayed by Willi Liebherr to promoting university research and teaching.
